Sometimes it's Frustrating...

Well where to begin...

Maybe a little background would be nice, so here it goes. A preacher's wife, definitely never what I thought a title for my life would be! While I did attend Christian School for my entire schooling career, I often thought the girls who hoped and dreamed of marrying a preacher, to be slightly... well...CrAzY for setting that as a goal! It never even crossed my mind that it could in fact turn out to be me. I was in no way looking to date or marry a preacher when I met my husband, Matthew, and even after he told me he was called to preach I don't think I realized the impact it would have on me or our family. We were married a little over 2 years before we starting working in the ministry. We both worked on separate bus routes at the church we were attending (the church that I had been at since birth) and we enjoyed doing that. I never really knew what it was to be in depth involved with a church though! We have been at our current church, where my husband is Assistant Pastor, for 3 years now. While it has been a blessing in so many ways to be apart of the ministry, in some ways it has caused so much stress. I don't think anyone can truly understand a family in the ministry until they are one! There are so many demands on your family, and definitely your husband it can be taxing at times!

To be completely honest, I have had a really, really rough week in the ministry. This is probably the first time I have been this aggravated, frustrated, hurt... and all those emotions happen in a span of about 5 days. I had honestly contemplated titling the blog, "The Frustrating life of a preacher's wife" While I had a few ideas of some great posts I could have to go with that I quickly changed my mind about that one. While this week has been so, well, AWFUL, the Lord is still truly wonderful. I found a verse to sum it up, Isaiah 25:1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. So many things you can get from that verse, but that is why I decided to name my blog the WONDERFUL life of a preacher's wife. No matter what happens, the Lord has given me eternal security and that in itself can make the life that I live nothing but wonderful!

My objectives for this blog hmm... I am not sure of any specific ones. I do find this as a good outlet for me to express myself and hopefully help someone else who might be in the same situation. If not that, to help others understand the roles that Pastor's and their families are in and the affects those positions have! I am in hopes that this can be an encouragement to someone out there, though so please feel free to leave me comments!
